Electives

Camp Mataponi prides itself in having developed a carefully designed program to promote the individual and group development of each camper.

The daily schedules of younger campers include core activities and one or two electives. Older campers may select from two or three electives. This format allows each camper to develop individual proficiencies and establish interpersonal relationships.

Adventure/Confidence Course, the Arts, Field Sports, Tennis, and Waterfront make up the foundation of the program at Mataponi.

About Electives: Electives are chosen for a three-week period, thereby allowing time for each camper to perfect her skills. With this program, each camper assumes increasing responsibility in selecting her own schedule and a framework to pursue her goals. The instructors make learning fun!!
