Swimming & Boating

Swimming and Boating are an intricate part of the core curriculum. Scheduled 6x a week for campers, ages 7-11, American Red Cross instructional swim is taught by our certified WSI instructors while boating instruction rotates daily between sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

Campers, ages 12-15, have boating and “lake time” scheduled 3x a week. While lake time requires the girls to be present at the waterfront during their scheduled hour, they have the choice to continue taking ARC swim lessons, swim laps under the supervision of a lifeguard, play on the Aquapark/Blob trampoline, or just enjoy beach time with friends.

Aquapark

The Aquapark features three custom commercial inflatables that are connected by floating platforms. The Summit Express Slide, Monkey Dome and Thunder Dome are Camp Mataponi’s version of a Ninja warrior obstacle course offering hours of fun.

The Rave Trampoline aka “The Blob” is always a hit amongst the campers and is second to none when it comes to a great time on the lake.

The Mataponi swim team and our infamous end of the summer “Mile Swim” is open to all ages with no tryouts. Mandatory practices are held 2-3 x a week throughout the summer to ensure proper training.
