Nikki Isdaner
Director At Mataponi since 2010

Nikki Isdaner Weber

I often joke that I’ve been at Camp Mataponi since 1994 because technically, I have! I was just six months old when my parents, Marcy and Dan, took over camp, so I truly grew up on beautiful Sebago Lake at my favorite place in the world.

I was a camper from 1999–2009, a counselor from 2010–2013, then returned as a Unit Leader before joining full time as Assistant Director in 2018. In 2022, I stepped into the Director role, something that feels less like a job and more like carrying forward a legacy that shaped my childhood, and that I believe in with every part of my being.

Having experienced Camp Mataponi from every angle: camper, counselor, leadership staff, and now director, I understand how deeply personal camp is for both girls and their families. During the year, I work closely with prospective families through tours and enrollment and personally guide each new family as they prepare for their first summer. One of my favorite traditions is visiting every new camper at home for a “home visit.” There’s nothing more special than getting to know a camper in their own environment and beginning a relationship built on trust, long before opening day!

I stay closely connected with our returning families as well, because partnership and communication are at the heart of what makes Mataponi feel like home. I also help lead our U.S. and International staff hiring, building a team of role models who embody the warmth, energy, and values that define our camp culture.

As a former camper and now a Mom to two young girls myself, I know firsthand how much trust families place in us each summer. I understand what it feels like to send your child somewhere you love and to hope she is truly seen, heard, and cared for. The warmth, energy, and passion I aim to bring to my role as a parent naturally translates into the Director role at Mataponi. My goal is simple: that every girl feels known, supported, and valued from the moment she arrives.

Each summer, we strive to create an environment where girls feel confident in who they are and excited about who they are becoming.

I currently live in Wayne, PA with my husband, Tripp, and our daughters, Sari and Colette. In the Weber household, we proudly live “10 for 2” and dream about camp all year long!

The Camp Mataponi Red Machines in 2013

Favorite Mataponi Moment

Being a Marshall for Red Machines in 2013 was an unforgettable, life-changing experience for me! It was a blast to lead the camp and compete for 4 days non-stop.
