I just wanted to send you a note and thank you

for making Edie’s first summer at camp so amazing! She has the best experience and can’t stop asking how soon she can go back.

I always knew that she had the heart of a camper but ever I was shocked at how happy and comfortable she felt at Mataponi from Day One… that is truly a testament to you and Dan and your incredible staff. She adored her counselors Sammy, Jess and Zara; loved Jen (of course) and I believe it only took two days for a “Bunk Pi” text group to pop up on her iPad when she got home. It is a string of “I miss you” and talk of what they plan to do when they get back to camp in June. Gil and I (and my parents, who joined right in on the “refresh” addiction) were so thrilled to see her stepping outside her comfort zone and doing things she would never think to do at home, whether winning an archery award, singing in front of the entire camp at Birthday Ball and Sign, or throwing herself into Jamboree with no hesitation. She told me that she loves camp because you can do whatever you want to do and be as crazy or weird as you want to be and no one will judge you for it, they will love you for it….that is amazing.
