For more than 30 years, Todd has been an integral part of the Camp Mataponi community. He began as a counselor, went on to serve as an Activity Director and Assistant Director, and for the past 15 years has led camp as Director of Operations.
Todd brings a unique blend of camp experience and professional expertise to his role. With a background in the restaurant and hospitality industry, along with a Business and Hospitality degree from Penn State University – where he met his wife, Molly – he approaches camp operations with both heart and precision.
He takes great pride in providing consistency and continuity within the operations team, ensuring that every detail of camp life runs smoothly behind the scenes. Todd works closely with our chefs to create thoughtful, high-quality meals for campers and staff alike, believing that food is an important part of the overall camp experience. His attention to detail and commitment to personalizing each camper’s dining journey reflect his desire to make every girl feel cared for and valued.
Beyond the logistics, Todd is known for the small traditions that campers look forward to each summer – from his famous Friday Night Pizza Bagels to personally delivering late-night birthday pizza parties to bunks, helping make each celebration feel extra special. These moments capture what he loves most about camp: creating joy in both the big and small details.
Todd is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Marcy, Dan and Nikki all these years. Their leadership and dedication to Mataponi have allowed him to grow professionally while contributing meaningfully to a community that has become such an important part of his life. He feels fortunate to help create the environment where campers grow, thrive, and return summer after summer.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
Fourth of July at camp. It’s the first all camp activity day of the summer and the first time bunks work together on a skit. You really get to see the girls personalities come out in front of their friends. Follow that, with carnival, which includes games, rides, food and dancing. Then, amazing fireworks over Sebago Lake. It’s always a great day at camp.
